    • very true, it has been like a huge jigsaw puzzle, following the history and connection to Liverpool and the Wirral. Sad as it is, it has been interesting researching the back ground.

  1. It seems unbelievable to be marking the 100 year anniversary. The story is so familiar that it doens’t seem that long ago. Anyway, nice tribute.

    • Thank you for your kind words, It is one of those stories that will captivate many a generation to come I think

      • I can imagine the story still told a thousand years from now. In your reply to WWC above you mention the Wirral, which I do not know about. Researching it will make a sluethful endeavor for my Sunday afternoon. Thanks, maenamor, or do you no longer go by that?

      • Hiya Dave, your last post was fantastic a great read, see you have still got snow 🙂 . The wirral and the Ismay family is a new story to me. My partner has been researching a lot of the trail to the wirral. It stops at a place called Dawpool no more than 10 minutes down the road from us 🙂 I have added the link if you have time to have a look.
